Coeur’d Alene, Idaho- K9 Pecco from CDA police Department passed yesterday after battling multiple health issues for several years.

K9 Pecco, a Belgium Malinois, began working with the Coeur d’Alene Police Department in August of 2014, when he was three years old. Pecco spent six years partnered with Officer Amy Knisley and was dual purpose certified as a narcotics and apprehension canine. Pecco had numerous drug busts and suspect apprehensions during his career and was known for his high energy and drive. He retired from service in October of 2020 due to declining health. Pecco lived life with Officer Knisley and passed at her side on April 25, 2023. He will be greatly missed.
