Kootenai County, Idaho – On Monday, April 15, 2024 at approximately 3:26 PM, the Kootenai County Sheriff’s Office received a call regarding a missing 3 year old in the forest. The juvenile was reported missing by her parents several miles north of 4th of July Pass off a forest service road.

Sheriff’s personnel from Patrol, K9’s, Detectives, Back Country, Drone Team, Search & Rescue and ABLE1 were assisted by Kootenai County Fire and Rescue (KCFR) and the Idaho State Patrol (ISP). After a lengthy search on the ground and from the air, the young girl was found approximately two hours later and 1.3 miles away unharmed by hunters.
