‘Happy Face’ starring Dennis Quaid to premiere March 20 on Paramount+

Happy Face, the true-crime series starring Dennis Quaid, is set to premiere March 20 on Paramount+.

Happy Face features Annaleigh Ashford as Melissa Moore, daughter of Keith Jesperson, the man known as the ‘Happy Face Killer’ (Quaid) for murdering at least eight women in the United States in the early 1990s.

Moore is an executive producer on the project, with James Wolk, Tamera Tomakili, Khiyla Aynne and Benjamin Mackey co-starring in the eight-episode series, which is based on the Happy Face podcast and Reed’s book, ‘Shattered Silence.’

The teaser trailer shows Ashford’s Melissa reuniting with her estranged, incarcerated father as she tries to prove an innocent man is going to be executed for a crime that Jesperson committed; while shesays that “every violent act is a rock dropped in water. If you stay silent, the ripples of trauma just keep pulling everyone they touch underneath.”
