MOSCOW, ID – The child pornography cases against two Moscow men who were arrested this month have been elevated to federal court.
The U.S. Department of Justice has indicted 25 year old Nathanael Jensen and 39 year old Devin Pickler. Each man faces three felony charges involving possessing and distributing child sex abuse material. Jensen and Pickler’s federal cases have been filed in U.S. District Court in Idaho. They previously faced state charges in Latah County Second District Court. Those local Idaho criminal cases have been dropped to defer to federal authorities.

The men were arrested at their Moscow homes by the Latah Regional SWAT Team. The separate cases began with Cybertips to the Moscow Police Department. Investigators determined the men were allegedly sharing child sex abuse material online. Their cell phones were seized and authorities reportedly found the illegal material on the devices.
If convicted Jensen and Pickler could spend up to 20 years in federal prison. They remain in the Latah County Sheriff’s Office Jail in Moscow. Their initial federal court dates have not been scheduled yet.
