MOSCOW, ID – The City of Moscow is accepting nominations for the 2025 Mayor’s Earth Day Award, recognizing individuals and organizations committed to sustainable practices. Established in 2006, the award honors efforts in conservation, recycling, reuse, construction, and public education.
Award categories include individuals, businesses, students and schools, non-profits, service organizations, government entities, building and development projects, green visionaries, and green neighbors from nearby communities. Nominees outside these categories will also be considered.
Nominations must include the names of the nominator and nominee, contact information for both, and a brief description of the nominee’s contributions to sustainability.
Submissions are due by March 18, 2025, at 5 p.m. and can be sent via email to sec@ci.moscow.id.us, mailed to the Sustainable Environment Commission at P.O. Box 9203, Moscow, ID 83843, or dropped off at 201 N Main St, Moscow.
The Sustainable Environment Commission will review nominations and forward recommendations to Mayor Art Bettge, who will select the award recipients.
