BOISE, ID – The Idaho Senate passed Senate Concurrent Resolution 111 on February 25, 2025, designating the period from Mother’s Day through Father’s Day as “Traditional Family Values Month.” The resolution was introduced by Senator Ben Toews, R-Coeur d’Alene.
The resolution defines traditional families as those with a mother, father, children, and extended relatives. It proposes specific weeks within this period to recognize different family members, including mothers, fathers, sons, daughters, and grandparents.
As a nonbinding resolution, SCR 111 does not create new laws. The measure now moves to the Idaho House of Representatives for consideration.
