PULLMAN, WA – The suspect in the College Hill homicide has pleaded not guilty. 30-year-old Jorge Amezcua pleaded not guilty to 2nd degree murder and possession of methamphetamine Friday in Whitman County Superior Court.
Amezcua is accused of fatally shooting 28-year-old Darcy Spracklin of Pullman on December 26th. Pullman Police Detectives say that Amezcua admitted to shooting at Spracklin’s head while the two were smoking meth in an abandoned fraternity house on Greek Row. Amezcua allegedly told detectives that he thought he missed as Spracklin walked across the street to his apartment where he was later found unresponsive by his roommate. He was arrested by the Whitman County SWAT Team last week.
Amezcua remains in jail on one million dollars bond. He is scheduled to stand trial in April.
