CALDWELL, ID – Idaho State Police is investigating a vehicle versus pedestrian fatality crash that occurred at 5:54 a.m. on Sunday, March 2nd, 2025, on State Highway 19 near Dixie River Road west of Caldwell.
A 27-year-old female from Homedale was driving a 2012 Ford Focus travelling east on State Highway 19. A 47-year-old female from Nampa was struck by the Ford Focus while walking in the eastbound lanes.
The pedestrian succumbed to her injuries at the scene.
The driver of the Ford Focus was transported via ambulance to a local hospital.
Idaho State Police was assisted by Canyon County Sheriff’s Office, Caldwell Fire, and Canyon County Paramedics.
This incident remains under investigation by the Idaho State Police
