CLARKSTON, WA – Students from Clarkston High School’s DECA chapter competed at the Washington State Career Development Conference in Bellevue, marking the largest event in the organization’s history with over 5,800 students participating. A total of 39 Clarkston students presented projects in financial literacy, community awareness, and other categories.
Seventeen students qualified for the International Career Development Conference (ICDC) in Orlando this April.
ICDC Qualifiers:
- Career Development Project: 3rd Place – Hayley Barnea, Tori Bradley, and Mattea Branscome
- Community Awareness Project: 4th Place – Lexie Rawson, Emma Smith, and Maegan Walkup
- Financial Literacy Project: 4th Place – Jesse Delane, Keegan Heath, and Jacob Rinard; 8th Place – Kaitlin Le and Bailey Wu
- School-Based Enterprise – Food Operations: 6th Place – Kobey Cole; Qualified – Ella Jordan and Matt Miller
Additionally, two teams placed in the Top 15 and were recognized on stage for their work:
- Career Development Project: Ember Dugger, Kam Forsmann, and Sydnee Morscheck
- Community Giving Project: Emma Aceveda, Olivia Bailey, and Ashley Eggleston
