SPOKANE, WA – Spokane County Sheriff’s Deputies, assisted by Spokane Valley Deputies, arrested three suspects following a reported residential burglary in the early hours of March 4, 2025. The homeowner, who was armed, reported confronting two individuals inside his residence before they fled in a vehicle.
At approximately 12:20 a.m., deputies responded to the area of N. Madison Road and E. Farwell Road after the homeowner reported waking to the sound of voices inside his home. Armed with a shotgun, he observed two suspects fleeing onto the porch before they escaped in a dark four-door vehicle. The homeowner attempted to follow but lost sight of the vehicle near N. Burns Road and E. Olympic Avenue.
Deputies began searching the area, locating two men, identified as 45-year-old Ronald L. Scribner and 41-year-old Yevgeniy V. Altukhov, near N. Lucille Road and E. Olympic Avenue. A deputy recognized Scribner from an earlier encounter on March 3, when he had been driving a 2012 Jeep Cherokee with 43-year-old Trisha D. Stansbury as a passenger.
Shortly after, another deputy found the Jeep in the 5200 block of N. Bellevue Court with Stansbury inside. A third male suspect was located near E. Wellesley and N. Sullivan Road and detained.

The investigation determined that Scribner had been driving the Jeep, with Stansbury as the front passenger and Altukhov and the third male in the back. Scribner and Altukhov allegedly exited the vehicle and approached the residence before fleeing. The homeowner identified the Jeep as the suspects’ vehicle.
Based on evidence and statements, deputies arrested Scribner, Stansbury, and Altukhov for residential burglary. The third male was released without charges.
During searches following the arrests, deputies found suspected methamphetamine on Stansbury and Altukhov. The Jeep was seized as evidence, and a subsequent search, conducted under a warrant, uncovered a black satchel with a substance believed to be methamphetamine under the driver’s seat. Deputies requested an additional drug possession charge for Scribner.
Scribner, Stansbury, and Altukhov were booked into Spokane County Jail for residential burglary, with Stansbury and Altukhov also facing possession of a controlled substance charges.
