CLARK COUNTY, WA – A traffic stop on Interstate 5 in Clark County led to the arrest of two men and the seizure of 160 pounds of marijuana and 11 grams of Ketamine, with an estimated street value between $800,000 and $900,000, on February 27.
Washington State Patrol troopers stopped a red Dodge Hornet near milepost 6 around 10:30 a.m. after observing the vehicle traveling 19 miles per hour over the speed limit. Upon approaching the vehicle, troopers detected a strong odor of marijuana and saw two large black trash bags in the back seat.
After questioning the occupants, troopers arrested both men and booked them into the Clark County Jail. A search of the vehicle revealed multiple black trash bags in the rear compartment and trunk, containing approximately 160 pounds of marijuana. Authorities also found 11 grams of Ketamine powder.
The two men, who were traveling from northern Washington to central California, face charges of Possession of Marijuana with Intent to Deliver and Possession of Ketamine with Intent to Deliver.
