LEWISTON, ID – LC State Dance made history on Saturday with the first victory in program history, on the same day the Warriors hosted their first competition in program history. The Warriors edged Carroll (Mont.) 74.7-74.6 in a close contest.
“Today was a fantastic end to the season,” coach Sydnee Soderberg said. “It was so much fun competing with Carroll this season. They are such a talented and sweet team. The last two weeks we really prioritized energy, motion sharpness and motion placement and it really paid off. This was the best performance we have had this season, and we are super happy to end the year on such a positive note.”
The Warriors saw their highest marks in performance impression with great energy throughout the routine. LC State scored highest in hip hop out of the required categories (jazz, pom and hip hop) with an 8.7 out of 10 and scored an 8.6 in jazz.
The duel marked the final contest of the season for LC State Dance. The Warriors will return in 2026 with sights set on their first postseason run.
