CLE ELUM, WA – A three-vehicle collision occurred on eastbound Interstate 90 near milepost 81 on Monday, March 10, at approximately 12:25 p.m., according to the Washington State Patrol. The crash involved two cars and one truck after traffic slowed for debris in the left lane.
According to the report, the driver of a truck, a 59-year-old from Spokane Valley, failed to slow down and collided with two other vehicles. The driver was not injured and was cited for negligent driving in the second degree.
A 70-year-old man from Lewiston, Idaho, who was driving one of the vehicles, sustained injuries and was transported to Harborview Medical Center. A 71-year-old passenger in the same vehicle was not injured.
The third vehicle was occupied by a 60-year-old driver from Chicago, Illinois, who was also uninjured.
Authorities continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash.
