Dispute Leads to Felony Drug Arrest Near Kamiah

KAMIAH, ID – A woman was arrested in Idaho County after deputies responded to a dispute call and found methamphetamine and marijuana.

According to the Idaho County Sheriff’s Office, at approximately 6:35 a.m. on Tuesday, Idaho County Dispatch received a call regarding a family dispute in the Kamiah area.

Both parties involved had left the residence in separate vehicles and an Idaho County Deputy met them along the roadway. Additional Idaho County deputies responded, including a K9 unit.  K9 Millie alerted on a vehicle.

JoEllen Barnes, age 42, was arrested for felony possession of methamphetamine, misdemeanor possession of marijuana, misdemeanor possession of paraphernalia, and cited for misdemeanor battery.
