TACOMA, WA – On March 15, 2025 , A 52-year-old woman was airlifted to St. Joseph Medical Center in Tacoma, Washington after a single-vehicle rollover crash on State Route 108 Saturday evening, authorities reported.
The crash occurred at approximately 5:48 p.m. near milepost 5. According to investigators, Sheri L. Richards was driving a red 2004 Ford F-150 westbound when she attempted to navigate a curve at a speed too fast for conditions. The vehicle lost control, struck a dirt embankment, and rolled before coming to rest in the eastbound lane.
Richards was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash but sustained injuries severe enough to require air transport for medical care. No other vehicles or pedestrians were involved in the accident. Authorities confirmed that drugs and alcohol were not contributing factors.
Richards faces charges of Negligent Driving in the First Degree and Driving While License Suspended in the Third Degree (DWLS 3rd). The vehicle was declared totaled and was towed from the scene by Summit Towing Inc.
