LEWISTON, ID – Lewis-Clark State College will hold Warrior Giving Day on April 1-2 with 1,893 minutes of giving, commemorating the institution’s founding year of 1893. Faculty, staff, students, alumni, and friends are invited to participate in the fundraiser and to encourage others to get involved.
“Warrior Giving Day is a unique opportunity for alumni, faculty, staff, donors, friends, and students to make an immediate and lasting impact on the incredible work happening every day at LC State”, said Jennie Jones Hall, director of College Advancement and executive director of the LC State Foundation. “With the power of matching gifts and challenges, every donation made during giving day goes even further, amplifying its impact.”
The event will begin at 7:10 a.m. on Tuesday, April 1, and end at 2:43 p.m. on Wednesday, April 2. The annual Wake Up With the Warriors athletics breakfast will kick-off just before the event at 7 a.m. Tuesday, April 1. To reserve your spot please register for the breakfast online at www.lcwarriors.com/tickets.
Warrior Giving Day will feature various incentives to encourage participation online at www.lcsc.edu/warriorgivingday and also on social media. For example, those who make the very first and last donations to the cause of their choice will see their donations matched. Additionally, a “night owl challenge” will reward the first person who donates between midnight and 2 a.m. This year will bring new pop-up matches/challenges occurring during the event; participants should follow along on the website and social media pages to see what these are.
“It’s not the size of the gift that matters, it’s the participation and excitement as we raise money for deserving students,” Jones Hall said.
