LEWISTON, ID – The City of Lewiston has contracted Halme Construction, Inc. to begin Phase 1 of a new raw water intake located east of the city limits along the Clearwater River, across from Clearwater Paper.  Site preparation is scheduled to begin on Monday, March 24, with active construction starting on April 7.

During construction, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers shared-use pathway will be temporarily closed. The trail closure will extend from the parking areas across from Vista Road on the east end to Hatwai Junction on the west end.

The city says unforeseen conditions could alter the construction schedule.
