NEW ORLEANS, LA – LC State Men’s Tennis closed out the Xavier/Dillard Invitational on Sunday with a 7-0 loss to No. 8 Xavier (La.).
XULA swept doubles play to take the lead early. Austin Swing and Juan Pablo Naranjo had the most competitive doubles matchup in their 6-4 loss at the No. 3 slot.
Naranjo played the lone three-set singles match. After a loss in the first set, he won the second to even the match. With the overall contest already decided, the third set was played as a tiebreaker and Naranjo fell 7-5, 3-6, 10-7.
The loss has the LC State record at 9-10 overall with one more match to play on the road trip.
