KAMIAH, ID – A 33-year-old man was arrested on multiple charges following a patrol stop near the Idaho County and Lewis County line on Tuesday, March 25.
According to the Idaho County Sheriff’s Office, a deputy was on patrol around 4:30 p.m. along Highway 12 near the intersection with Woodland Road when he saw a man walking along the shoulder near milepost 67. The deputy reported seeing the man throw an object before continuing to walk in a zigzag pattern through the grass.
A second deputy responded to the scene and located methamphetamine.
Travis Luce was arrested for felony possession of methamphetamine. He also faces misdemeanor charges for possession of paraphernalia, concealment of evidence, being under the influence in a public place, and contempt of court.
The Idaho County Sheriff’s Office reminds the public that all individuals are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
