SPOKANE, WA — Two burglary suspects and five others wanted on outstanding warrants were taken into custody after Spokane Valley Investigative Unit (SVIU) detectives, with the assistance of the SWAT Team, executed a search warrant in the 600 block of South Farr Road.

The early morning operation on March 27 followed an investigation into a March 23 burglary at a storage facility in the 11500 block of East Indiana Avenue, where over $4,000 worth of property was reported stolen.

Detectives identified 39-year-old Shaun W. Bower and 39-year-old Jasmine L. Highley as suspects in the case. Investigators tracked a blue Chevrolet Tahoe and trailer believed to be used during the theft to the South Farr Road residence and obtained a search warrant for the home, vehicles, and property on site.

Around 6:45 a.m., the SWAT Team served the warrant and safely detained several individuals, including Bower and Highley. Both were arrested on charges of second-degree burglary, second-degree theft, and third-degree malicious mischief.

Five additional people at the residence were arrested on unrelated warrants:

Others detained at the scene were released without charges. Detectives seized property believed to be stolen, along with other evidence of suspected criminal activity.

The investigation remains active, and authorities say additional charges or arrests may follow.
