CORVALLIS, OR – Warrior Athletics started its week with a pair of Cascade Conference Athletes of the Week after strong play for the week of Mar. 24-30. Alex Navarro was voted the CCC Men’s Golfer of the Week and Charlie Updegrave took home Baseball Player of the Week honors.
CHARLIE UPDEGRAVE – BASEBALL PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Updegrave tied the CCC career home run record (39) on Sunday with his fifth home run of the week. The senior slugged an impressive 1.080 with five home runs and a double. More than half of his hits through the week’s six games went for extra bases. Updegrave scored 10 runs, drove in 12 and hit .440 (11-for-25).
This is Updegrave’s second weekly honor of the season and third of his career.
No. 20 Warrior Baseball is at NCAA Division III Whitman on Wednesday for a single game against the Blues. The contest in Walla Walla starts at 6:30 p.m.

ALEX NAVARRO – MEN’S GOLFER OF THE WEEK
Navarro won The Warrior Spring Classic with a 12-under-par tournament total for his first collegiate win. The senior from Spain helped lead LC State to the team title by nearly 40 strokes with a 17-under-par team total. Navarro’s rounds of 68-69-67 totaled a career low 204.
This is the first weekly honor of Navarro’s career.
Warrior Men’s Golf is in action on Thursday in a duel against NCAA Division III Whitworth in Spokane.
