WHITE BIRD, ID – A 57-year-old man was arrested Monday evening following a traffic stop in the White Bird area, according to the Idaho County Sheriff’s Office.
At approximately 7:35 p.m. on April 1, an Idaho County deputy stopped an ATV for failing to use a turn signal and driving without taillights. During the stop, the deputy suspected the driver was under the influence of alcohol.
Further investigation determined the driver had consumed alcohol and used methamphetamine.
Steven Kernutt was arrested and booked on multiple charges, including felony possession of methamphetamine, misdemeanor driving under the influence, misdemeanor driving without privileges, misdemeanor possession of paraphernalia, and a misdemeanor Nez Perce County warrant for failure to appear.
All individuals are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
