Clarkston Woman Arrested for Allegedly Selling Meth and Fentanyl

CLARKSTON, WA — A 41-year-old Clarkston woman was arrested this week and booked into the Asotin County Jail on felony drug charges.

According to court documents, Chantel R. Turner, is accused of possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver following a drug investigation that began in January.

According to the documents, probable cause was established during the execution of a search warrant at a residence on the 1400 block of Elm Street on January 7, 2025. Law enforcement officials reported that Turner and another individual were located in a bedroom containing suspected narcotics. The substances were later identified as Fentanyl and Methamphetamine and were allegedly found inside a purse with Turner’s ID. A scale covered in residue was also discovered nearby.

Turner allegedly admitted during an interview that the phone seized by police belonged to her but was also used by another individual. Authorities obtained a separate search warrant for the phone and reviewed communications from both Facebook Messenger and text messages. Investigators reported finding numerous conversations discussing drug transactions and measurements.

Messages were allegedly found referring to drug quantities such as “points” and “ball,” along with terms like “fire” and “bomb,” which investigators indicated are slang for high-quality narcotics. Several messages appeared to arrange deals involving Fentanyl pills and Methamphetamine.

Law enforcement linked multiple messages on Turner’s phone to specific narcotics transactions, including statements corroborated by a cooperating witness. One exchange reportedly described a plan to purchase 8 grams of Fentanyl powder for $500. Another individual stated that she had sold approximately $500 worth of Fentanyl powder to Turner, which reportedly matched the amount discovered during the search.

The court documents also allege Turner’s involvement in drug distribution based on her own statements, messages on her phone and the evidence seized from the residence.

Turner was arrested and booked into the Asotin County Jail on Tuesday.  Bond has been set at $25,000.  The Prosecutor’s Office had requested bail be set at that same amount, citing flight risk and public safety concerns.  Turner is scheduled to be back in court on April 7.
