Lewiston, ID – The Lewiston Police Department, in collaboration with multiple law enforcement agencies, is reporting arrests in connection with an ongoing prostitution investigation.
According to police, on March 31, 2025, Nez Perce County Prosecutor Justin Coleman and Chief Deputy Prosecutor April Smith obtained four Grand Jury indictments against Lewiston resident Xiaohong Wang, Pomeroy residents Ping Schutt and Clinton Schutt, and another unnamed individual.
Each has been charged with two counts of Receiving Proceeds of Illegal Sexual Activity and Having a Place of Commercial Sexual Activity.
On April 1, 2025, officers from the Lewiston Police Department, the Federal Bureau of Investigation, the Clarkston Police Department, the Quad City Task Force, the Moscow Police Department, and Homeland Security executed multiple search warrants at three local business fronts in Lewiston – Asian Best Body Works, Oriental Massage Spa and Perfect Body and Foot Salon.
As part of the operation, three of the indicted individuals were taken into custody, and authorities seized multiple assets, including several bank accounts, cash, and a commercial business property.
Police say the 12-month investigation, led by Lewiston Detective Corporal Cody Bloomsburg and FBI Special Agent Rob Hille, uncovered evidence of prostitution, money laundering, and sexual exploitation.
“These arrests are the culmination of a significant investigation, and we are fortunate to have dedicated law enforcement professionals like Detective Corporal Bloomsburg and Special Agent Hille serving our community,” said Police Chief Jason Kuzik. “The Lewiston Police Department, along with our law enforcement partners, remain committed to protecting our communities and ensuring accountability for anyone involved in illicit activities.”
“I want to especially thank Detective Bloomsburg and FBI Agent Hille. They dedicated hundreds of hours to investigating and working on this case,” said Prosecutor Justin Coleman. “Thanks to their extensive efforts these places of sexual manipulation and abuse have been shut down,” he said.
The defendants are currently being held in jail on a $1,000,000 bond each and are scheduled to appear in court this week.
