SPOKANE, WA – Sydnie Zywina hit the national standard in the triple jump to highlight a day filled with personal bests for the LC State Women’s Track and Field team at the Whitworth Peace meet.

“Really pleased with today’s performances,” coach Mike Collins said. “Lots of season PRs and three national standards; definitely moving forward which is what we want to see this time of year. The weather was really cooperative and hopefully we will continue to see more of that too. Great attitudes as we head into the core of our season.”

Zywina leapt a distance of 11.92m to finish second in the field at the meet. Her mark is a B standard and ranks fourth in the NAIA this season. She cleared a personal-best distance of 5.63m in the long jump to place fourth in that event. The mark ranks second at LC State.

Damaris Kibiwot ran the fourth-fastest 10,000m in program history with a time of 37:47.30. She placed second at the meet and Lily Bennett was fourth (38:56.81).

Haylee Appleford led the Warrior women in the discus with a mark of 36.14m to place 15^th. Hope Zollman threw a personal-best distance of 35.68m to place 19^th and Grace Osborne was 20^th (35.15m). Appleford led LC State in the shot put with a mark of 11.38m to place 16^th. Zollman was 20^th with a PR (11.12m), and Faith Wersland also had a personal best at 10.04m to place 27^th. Jacklin Linnemeyer finished 30^th (9.68m).

Osborne led the way in the hammer throw in 15^th place (42.08m). Wersland was 22^nd (39.98m) and Appleford was 27^th (36.89m). Gianna Anderson finished 10^th in the javelin (35.27m).

Grace Tiegs finished 32^nd in the 800m with a time of 2:23.23 and Grace McCormoci was 39^th (2:34.78). Tiegs was 39^th in the 1,500m (4:55.57) and McCormick ran a PR to place 56^th (5:06.71).

Junior Emily Collins finished fourth in the 400m (57.25). Karissa Lindner was 12^th in the 100m (12.47). Lindner led LC State in the 200m in 13^th place (25.59) and Collins was 17^th (25.71).
