83-Year-Old Man Missing After Trip From Portland to Marlin

MARLIN, WA – Authorities have issued a Silver Alert for David Tongue, an 83-year-old resident of Marlin, Washington, who has been reported missing after failing to return home from a planned trip.

Tongue was last heard from around 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 5, when he spoke with his wife by phone. He told her he was leaving Portland, Oregon, and expected to arrive back in Marlin by 11:00 p.m. that evening. However, he never made it home, and attempts to reach him since then have been unsuccessful. His cell phone is currently turned off.

Tongue is believed to be driving a tan 1998 Chevrolet pickup truck with Washington license plate C91055R and towing a small U-Haul trailer. His intended travel route was through The Dalles, Oregon, and the Tri-Cities area of Washington.

Law enforcement is asking the public to be on the lookout and report any sightings or information about Tongue’s whereabouts. Anyone with information is urged to call 9-1-1 immediately.

The case is being investigated under report number 25GS04094, and the Silver Alert has been designated as EM-3.
