LEWISTON, ID – LC State Baseball’s Ike George had a monster week to earn the first Cascade Conference Player of the Week honor of his career. His efforts helped the Warriors to five wins including a four-game sweep of Warner Pacific (Ore.) in Cascade Conference play.
George was unstoppable at the plate last week with 12 hits in 20 at-bats for a .600 batting average. The senior slugged 1.000 with four doubles and two triples to go with 10 RBI. George went 4-for-4 against NCAA Division III Whitman on Wednesday and wrapped up his week with three hits against WPU on Sunday. He had an extra-base hit in all five games.
This is the first weekly award of George’s career at LC State.
The Warriors host The College of Idaho this weekend in a four-game Cascade Conference series at Harris Field set for Apr. 11-13.
