JULIAETTA, ID — The City of Juliaetta is inviting residents to share project ideas for a potential grant that could bring between $50,000 and $100,000 in funding to the community.
During the March City Council meeting, officials learned about the possible grant opportunity made available through AgWest Farm Credit. The funding must be used for a project outside of the city’s typical budget categories, which include streets, water, and sewer infrastructure.
City leaders are now turning to the public for creative suggestions on how the funds could be used to benefit the community. Residents can contribute ideas by stopping by the city office, speaking with city staff, council members, or even the mayor, or by presenting suggestions during a City Council meeting. Written proposals are also being accepted by mail at PO Box 229, Juliaetta, ID 83535.
The city hopes to collect all ideas by the end of May.
“We want this project to come from the people who live here,” a city representative said. “This is a great opportunity to do something special, and we’re grateful to AgWest Farm Credit for making it possible.”
For more information or to get involved, residents are encouraged to contact the city office or attend an upcoming council meeting.
