Woman Dies After Head-On Crash in Southern Idaho

MERIDIAN, ID – Idaho State Police are investigating a two-vehicle fatality crash that occurred in Canyon County on Thursday.

According to police, at 5:17 p.m. on Thursday, a blue 2015 Toyota Scion TC, driven by a 31-year-old female of Emmett, Idaho, was southbound on Emmett Road. A dark blue 2022 Dodge RAM 3500 was northbound on Emmett Road.  The Dodge was being driven by a 50-year-old male from Caldwell with two passengers – a 50-year-old female and a 21-year-old female, both from Caldwell

Police say the Toyota crossed over the center line and the vehicles collided head-on. According to police, the driver of the Toyota was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash and succumbed to her injuries on scene.

One of the female passengers in the Dodge was transported by air ambulance to a local hospital. The driver and other passenger in the Dodge were transported by ground ambulance to a local hospital. All three occupants of the Dodge were wearing seatbelts at the time of the crash.

The crash remains under investigation by the Idaho State Police.
