Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive

The National Association of Letter Carriers’ annual Stamp Out Hunger® Food Drive is set to take place Saturday, May 10, 2025. As the largest single-day food collection event in the country, the drive helps stock local food banks and pantries with much-needed supplies ahead of the summer months, when demand often increases and donations tend to decline.

Residents are encouraged to participate by leaving non-perishable food donations in a bag near their mailbox before their regular mail delivery on May 10. Letter carriers will collect the donations during their routes, ensuring they are delivered to local food banks and pantries for distribution.

Volunteers are also needed to help collect donations from neighborhoods. Those interested are invited to meet at the post office the morning of May 10 (exact time to be determined). Volunteers will be assigned a route to drive through and pick up food donations placed by residents. There’s no minimum time commitment—any help is greatly appreciated. Donuts will be provided by the organizers, and pizza will be provided by the food bank. For more information or to volunteer, contact Brandee Bolen at 208-816-2331.

For those who prefer to give online, donations can also be made at www.nalc.org/food by selecting a local food bank in your area.

All food and funds collected stay in the community where they are donated, helping families facing food insecurity in neighborhoods across the country. The event is supported by national partners including the United States Postal Service, United Way, AFL-CIO, CVS Health, and others.
