Suspects Arrested in WSU Campus Vandalism Spree Protesting Upcoming Conservative Charlie Kirk Event

PULLMAN, WA – Washington State University Police believe they have arrested two people connected to a campus vandalism spree protesting a conservative commentator.

Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk is visiting WSU today as part of his nationwide American Comeback Tour. About a half a dozen posters protesting Kirk have been glued onto buildings around campus since last weekend. The posters have caused damage to the exterior of the buildings.

Early Thursday morning around 2:30 WSU Police spotted three people allegedly putting up posters in Terrell Mall. The suspects ran and two were chased down and arrested for vandalism and obstruction. 21 year old Alisa Bennett and 26 year old Jeremiah Paparazzo were arrested for vandalism and obstruction. The pair are being booked into the Whitman County Sheriff’s Office Jail in Colfax. Neither suspect is listed as a WSU student. Details about where they are from are not available at this time.

WSU Assistant Police Chief Dawn Daniels couldn’t confirm yet if the posters the pair were allegedly putting up were anti Kirk signs. Daniels did confirm that officers believe the suspects may have been involved with the previous poster vandalism.
The Pullman Police Department was called in to assist WSU Police with the arrests.
