COLFAX, WA – Hackers may have accessed patient information from last winter’s cyberattack on the computer system at the hospital in Colfax.
The Whitman Hospital & Medical Clinics system was hacked in February. A computer forensic firm has determined that hackers may have accessed and acquired confidential patient information including Social Security numbers and financial account information. The hospital is offering free credit monitoring and identity protection for patients who may have had their confidential information stolen.
Hospital officials in Colfax previously stated last winter that there was no evidence that any patient personal data was compromised in this attack.
