One Person Treated for Smoke Inhalation After Early Morning RV Fire in Lewiston

LEWISTON, ID – At approximately 3:10 a.m. on Monday, the Lewiston Fire Department was dispatched to 3007 East Main Street for a reported fire involving a motorhome.

Upon arrival, first-responders observed light smoke in the area. One individual was located outside the motorhome, complaining of smoke inhalation.

According to the motorhome’s occupant, she awoke to find smoke in the living area. She quickly responded by using a garden hose to extinguish the fire before emergency services arrived.

While the fire was successfully contained and did not spread, the occupant suffered from smoke inhalation and was transported via ambulance to St. Joseph Regional Medical Center. No other injuries were reported.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.  The damage to the motorhome was estimated at around $3000.
