PORTLAND, OR – LC State Men’s Golf improved by one stroke in the second round of the 2025 Cascade Conference Championships and remain in second place with three in the top 10.
No. 9 British Columbia blistered the course with a team round of 13-under-par to increase its lead to 16 strokes over LC State.
“The men got off to a slow start but battled back,” coach Zach Anderson said. “We dropped a few coming in but not too bad of a round, just didn’t have the stuff today. UBC came out firing today and it was just tough to keep up. I know the men will continue to fight until the very end.”
Three Warriors are tied for sixth place after the first two rounds of play. Sondre Andresen, who was 1-under on Monday, shot 1-over on Tuesday for an even-par total. Alex Navarro was consistent with his second even-par score of the week, while freshman Lucas Ortega carded a round of 1-under to even out his 1-over from Monday.
The consistency of the group has the Warriors still within striking distance of UBC heading into the final round.
Oscar Behle is in a tie for 18th overall at 7-over. He followed up his 3-over on Monday with a 4-over on Tuesday. Luke West is on his own in 25th place after a much-improved round on Tuesday. The sophomore carded a 2-over total and is 10-over through the tournament.
