PULLMAN, WA – A 30-year-old Clarkston man has been arrested for allegedly kidnapping and raping a Spokane area woman in Pullman. The case began on Wednesday morning when Pullman Police responded to a rape victim at Pullman Regional Hospital.
According to court documents, the Airway Heights woman was visiting a friend in Pullman. They were at a Pullman bar on Tuesday night and met up with another group of friends including Victor Villela. The alleged victim had never met Villela before Tuesday night.
The group ended up back at the woman’s friend’s apartment but an argument caused the guests to leave in Villela’s vehicle.
Villela dropped off all of his passengers except for the alleged victim. He took her to an apartment in Pullman and allegedly raped her. The woman left the apartment when Villela was taking a shower and walked back to her friend’s residence.
Villela told Pullman Police that the sex was consensual. He was arrested on Wednesday afternoon.
Villela was placed on 25,000 dollars bond by Judge Roger Sandberg during his first appearance Thursday in Whitman County Superior Court. He is scheduled to be back in court on Monday.
