Spokane, WA – Spokane County Sheriff’s Office Investigative Unit (SCIU) Detectives, with assistance from SWAT, arrested a convicted felon and seized a significant quantity of drugs, firearms, cash, and precious metals following the service of two search warrants on April 22, 2025.

The investigation, which had been ongoing for several months, led detectives to a residence near North Cincinnati Street and East Everett Avenue. There, they arrested 43-year-old Tamboura E. Simmons on multiple felony charges of Possession of a Controlled Substance with Intent to Deliver. Simmons, a multi-time convicted felon, had prior convictions for Delivery of a Controlled Substance, Felon in Possession of a Firearm, Assault 3rd Degree, and several misdemeanors.

During the search of the property, investigators seized approximately 93 grams (about 3.2 ounces) of suspected fentanyl powder, five bottles of liquid methadone, around 100 pills believed to contain fentanyl, nearly $15,000 in cash, and an estimated $15,000 to $20,000 in silver and gold coins. Detectives also recovered three handguns, several hundred rounds of ammunition, three vehicles, eight phones, and a large quantity of drug paraphernalia, including scales, plastic baggies, and aluminum foil.

A second individual at the location, 33-year-old Jude M. Lesinski, was also detained. Lesinski, also a convicted felon, was arrested on several unrelated misdemeanor warrants, including two counts of Theft 3rd Degree, Criminal Trespass 1st Degree, and No Valid Operator’s License 1st Degree. His total bond was set at $2,250. However, he was later released on his own recognizance due to critical jail status caused by overcrowding.

Later the same day, SCIU Detectives executed a second search warrant at a residence near South Cuba Street and East 26th Avenue. The investigation remains active, and authorities indicated that additional charges or arrests are possible.

Simmons was booked into the Spokane County Jail, where he remains in custody on a U.S. Marshal Hold and a $5,000 bond set by Spokane County Superior Court Commissioner T. Rugel.
