Structure Fire at 3116 5th St.
At 1:39 am the department was dispatch to a reported structure fire at 3116 5th Street. First arriving crews found heavy smoke and fire from the back of the residence.
The first crews arrived 4 minutes after the initial dispatch and fire was knocked down in about 6 minutes. The fire was contained to a back room. Crews remained on scene for approx. 90 minutes to check for extension and investigate the cause of the fire.
engines, 1 ambulance, 2 chief officers and 1 fire inspector, totaling 14 personnel. Two medical emergencies occurred simultaneously as the fire and diverted 2 additional ambulances from the response.
The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
