RIGGINS – On May 26, 2022, Idaho County Dispatch received a call that someone had pointed a rifle at a subject in Riggins.
Another caller advised a male subject, who had a hammer in his hand, tried to stop her, jumped on her vehicle, and then tried to get inside.
Deputies located Leon Walsh, age 50, of New Meadows, who was walking down the highway with a hammer in his hand.
After speaking with all parties involved, Mr. Walsh was arrested for attempted burglary and pedestrian under the influence on a highway.
