Lewiston, ID- It is an amazing weekend for all dog lovers with the arrival of Lewiston Spring Cluster. It is up and running as of today at the Nez Perce County Fairgrounds. It is an all breed dog show, Obedience and Rally Trials showcasing over more than 130 dog breeds. It is organized and ran through the Palouse Hills Dog Fanciers and Lewis-Clark Kennel Club. The event is open to the public and all are welcomed to come witness the talent among these dogs and dedication of their owners.
Cassandra De la Rosa has been competing in dog shows for over 53 years. Her focus is the breed “Lhasa Apso” which is what Senja, her dog who is competing is. Senja has been nominated as “Best of Show Dog” in the past and has been preparing for this show. Lhasa Apso is a breed with great style that require constant upkeep in their hair due to the length and thickness. Hair care is an important routine in this breeds life, Cassandra takes careful care of Senja’s hair by having all the products he could need. Below is a picture of Sanja’s hair care products such as: several different shampoos and conditions, gel to keep the hair in place, and powder to keep his face dry. Additionally when they are on the road, Sanja rocks the style of banded hair so it does not tangle up. After Cassandra’s dogs retire from showing she gives them a “puppy cut” so they can roll in the dirt or do whatever they would like without the maintenance. After this dog show Cassandra and Senja will hit the road and head to their next one in line while training and preparing for a successful season. Cassandra takes extraordinary care of Senja and pampers him for his dedication while he returns the favor with lots of puppy love.
