Corvallis, OR. – Christian Bothwell became the first LC State Warrior to earn a Cascade Conference title in a multi with his win in the decathlon over the weekend. The senior was named the Cascade Conference Rize Laboratory Field Athlete of the Week for his efforts.
Bothwell won the CCC decathlon title with 6,271 points to lead a group of three Warriors in the top five. The senior was consistent all weekend with five second-place marks including the long jump, high jump, 400m, javelin and 1,500m. He hit personal-best marks in the long jump (6.44m) and 400m (52.03).
This is the second weekly honor for Bothwell this season and in his career.
