January 10, 2024 (Moscow, Idaho) — The Moscow Farmers Market Commission invites artists of the region to submit artwork for the 2024 Moscow Farmers Market poster. The chosen art piece will be featured as this year’s Market poster, and be inducted into the City of Moscow Portable Art Collection to receive a $500 honorarium.
To qualify for entry, the artist must reside within a 200 air-mile radius. Students who are attending the following schools are exempt from radius restriction: University of Idaho, New Saint Andrews College, Washington State University, and Lewis-Clark State College.
Submissions must portray one or more of the following themes:
- A scene at the Moscow Farmers Market
- The social culture of the Moscow Farmers Market
- A collection or assemblage of products available at the Moscow Farmers Market
Accepted mediums include but are not limited to, pencil, ink, oils, acrylic, photography, wood, and clay. Art can be in a 2D or 3D format. Submissions are due by 5 pm, on Wed., Feb. 21 via the City of Moscow’s Submittable page: https://moscowarts.submittable.com/submit. A free Submitable account is required for entry, exposing participants to also view many City arts and culture opportunities. Emailed or mailed submissions will not be accepted.
The Moscow Farmers Market takes place every Saturday, 8 am to 1 pm, May through October in downtown Moscow on Main Street and Friendship Square.
