CORVALLIS, Ore. – Shane Spencer made quite the first impression on Saturday in his LC State debut. The senior put together the best starting performance by a Warrior pitcher all weekend en route to being voted the Cascade Conference Rize Laboratory Baseball Pitcher of the Week.
Spencer was stellar in his first appearance in an LC State uniform with 10 strikeouts through 5.1 innings. He gave up just one hit, a home run, after holding (RV) UBC hitless through the first five innings. The start helped the Warriors to a 13-7 victory as part of the four-game non-conference series sweep if the Thunderbirds.
This is the first CCC weekly honor for Spencer and third overall honor for LC State Baseball this season.
