RIGGINS, ID – A man was arrested in Riggins following a report of a domestic dispute, according to the Idaho County Sheriff’s Office.

Authorities stated that on February 28, 2025, at approximately 7:20 p.m., Idaho County Dispatch received a call regarding a possible domestic dispute. Deputies responded and spoke with both parties.

39-year-old Mark Vawter was arrested for felony domestic battery in the presence of a child.

The Idaho County Sheriff’s Office noted that all individuals accused of crimes are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
