JULIAETTA, ID – After serving the community for over 42 years, Mayor Richard Groseclose has officially retired from his position. Groseclose, who has held roles as both a city council member and mayor, announced his retirement in a statement, expressing gratitude for the support he has received over the years.
“It has been an honor and privilege to serve the City of Juliaetta,” Groseclose said. “Our community is filled with many admirable people, and I have trust in our Mayor Pro Tem, Nick Anderson, to carry the city forward.”
In recognition of his decades of public service, the City of Juliaetta will hold a celebration at the Juliaetta Community Center on Sunday, March 30, from 2 to 4 p.m. The city encouraged residents to attend and thank Groseclose for his dedication, noting that he will likely still be seen helping to maintain local spaces.
