2025 Lewiston WineFest Event Raises $100,000 to Help Breast Cancer Patients

LEWISTON, ID – The Gina Quesenberry Foundation, a nonprofit dedicated to supporting breast cancer patients in our community, and raising awareness about breast cancer, has announced the success of its recent WineFest fundraising event held on March 8th.

The event, which took place at the Lewiston Elks Lodge, brought together over 300 attendees, including community leaders, survivors, volunteers, and generous supporters, all united to support those facing breast cancer.

This year’s event raised $100,000 through donations, ticket sales, and auctions. The funds raised will go directly toward vital patient support services such as financial and travel support, nutritional support, comfort care items and a community outreach campaign focused on promoting early detection.

“We are so grateful for the incredible support from our community who continues to show up for us year after year,” said Layci Peer, Executive Director of Gina Quesenberry Foundation. “This event has shown just how deeply our community cares about making a difference in the lives of those affected by breast cancer. The funds raised will help us continue to provide critical resources and support to those in need, and we are grateful to everyone who participated and contributed to our success.”

The evening featured a range of activities, including a silent auction, live auction, a paddle raise, and fundraising games throughout the room. The event also showcased 7 local wineries and 2 local breweries who offered patrons unlimited tastes of a selection of their wines and brews. The night was emceed by Willie Deibel, President & Chief Credit Officer of Twin River Bank. Attendees also had the opportunity to hear firsthand a story of hope and strength from a local breast cancer survivor and the history of our foundation, which inspired everyone in the room to continue to help those facing breast cancer.

“Events like these are not just about raising funds; they’re about raising awareness and providing hope for those who need it most,” said Laynie Eldridge, GQ Board President and Foundation Founder. “We are proud of what we’ve accomplished in the last 20 years since starting the foundation and look forward to the continued support of our community as we work together towards building more resources for those fighting breast cancer.”

“The Gina Quesenberry Foundation extends its heartfelt gratitude to all event sponsors, volunteers, attendees, and supporters who made the evening a success. The foundation remains committed to advancing its mission, and the generosity of this year’s event ensures that it can continue to make a meaningful impact on the lives of those affected by breast cancer,” says a press release.
