SPOKANE, WA – Spokane County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested a woman after she reportedly entered multiple occupied homes in North Spokane County and caused significant damage.

On March 6, 2025, at approximately 7:05 a.m., deputies responded to a report of a burglary in progress in the 32000 block of N. Cedar Road. The homeowner reported an unknown woman attempting to break into her residence. The suspect, later identified as 26-year-old Andrea M. Fields, claimed she had been kidnapped the day prior and was on the run. She fled when the homeowner called 911.

A short time later, another homeowner reported that Fields had entered her home without permission. The resident, who did not know Fields, told her to leave, but Fields remained, stating she was being chased. The homeowner left the residence and waited for law enforcement.

Deputies arrived and established a perimeter. Despite multiple announcements instructing Fields to surrender, she did not comply. When deputies entered the home, they found extensive damage and disarray. Using a drone and a K9 unit, they searched the residence but initially did not locate Fields. However, they heard movement in the attic and observed damage to the ceiling, indicating someone had been moving through the space.

After repeated attempts to get Fields to surrender, she eventually complied and was taken into custody. She was evaluated for medical concerns before being transported to the Spokane County Jail.

Fields reportedly told deputies she had been experiencing anxiety and paranoia. She admitted to entering the two homes and said she did not know the residents.

The damage to the second residence was estimated at approximately $20,000. Fields was booked into jail on charges of Residential Burglary and Malicious Mischief in the First Degree.
