
KOOSKIA, ID—A traffic stop conducted by Idaho County Sheriff’s Office deputies on March 17 resulted in the arrest of a Kooskia man on drug-related charges.
According to the sheriff’s office, deputies stopped a vehicle on 4th Avenue in Kooskia around 4:32 pm. During the stop, K9 Millie and her handler performed an open-air sniff, and the dog was alerted to the presence of narcotics. A search of the vehicle followed, leading to the discovery of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.

The driver, identified as 36-year-old Kyler Mercer, was taken into custody. He faces charges of felony possession of methamphetamine with intent to deliver and misdemeanor possession of paraphernalia.
The Idaho County Sheriff’s Office stated that all individuals accused of crimes are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
