LCSC Men’s Tennis Closes Weekend in New Orleans Against Xavier

NEW ORLEANS, LA – LC State Men’s Tennis closed out the Xavier/Dillard Invitational on Sunday with a 7-0 loss to No. 8 Xavier (La.).

XULA swept doubles play to take the lead early. Austin Swing and Juan Pablo Naranjo had the most competitive doubles matchup in their 6-4 loss at the No. 3 slot.

Naranjo played the lone three-set singles match. After a loss in the first set, he won the second to even the match. With the overall contest already decided, the third set was played as a tiebreaker and Naranjo fell 7-5, 3-6, 10-7.

The loss has the LC State record at 9-10 overall with one more match to play on the road trip.

UP NEXT

The Warriors wrap up the trip on Monday in Alabama at the University of Mobile (Ala.) at 10 a.m. PT.
