19-Year-Old Motorcyclist Tragically Killed in Central Washington Crash

YAKIMA, WA – On the night of April 5, 2025, at approximately 11:15 p.m., officers from the Yakima Police Department and personnel from Yakima Fire Department responded to reports of a motorcycle collision in the 1600 block of South 64th Avenue.

Upon arrival, first responders located a single motorcycle that had collided with a tree near the edge of the roadway. The rider, a 19-year-old male from the Yakima area, was found unresponsive at the scene.

Emergency medical personnel immediately provided aid and transported the individual to MultiCare Memorial Hospital in Yakima. Despite their efforts, he was pronounced deceased at the hospital due to injuries sustained in the crash.

Preliminary investigation indicates that the motorcycle was traveling northbound on South 64th Avenue when it left the roadway near Terry Avenue. The motorcycle is believed to have struck multiple trees before coming to rest.

The Yakima Police Department Traffic Unit is currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the collision. No further details have been released at this time.
