Idaho State Police investigated a single-vehicle, single-occupant crash, that occurred at about 5:33 PM on September 22, 2022, on Gifford Reubens Road near milepost 7.
A Gray 2002 Chevy Tahoe was northbound on Gifford Rubens Road, near milepost 7, being driven by a 20-year-old male of Lewiston, ID, when the vehicle drove off the right shoulder and continued down an extreme embankment into a deep ditch.
The vehicle overturned onto the roof, then cartwheeled landing on its tires. A passerby discovered the crash and called 911. The driver was trapped in the vehicle and had to extricate. The driver was wearing his seatbelt at the time of the crash. He was transported to the hospital by ground ambulance. The incident remains under investigation by the Idaho State Police.
